Bluetooth Peripheral Device Error (HELP) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey guys,

Im having a problem which i have read here already but they have not specified the correct information like from what they are having problems with.

Well iam trying to connect my blackberry pearl 8120 to the bluetooth (though usb) i bought from a store, it says that Bluetooth Peripheral driver not found. I looked and search but i could not find the exact driver i need for windows 7. I have seen a lot of help for vista and such but not for windows 7.

If i go to devmgmt.msc in start menu and explore the bluetooth there, there are two things it shows,

    1. Broadcom 2046 Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR USB Dongle with first connect

    2. Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator

So again my question is, i cannot connect my Blackberry Pearl 8120 since it gives me the Bluetooth Peripheral Device Error. And iam using Windows 7 Professional with 64 Bit. Thanks in advance for helping!

  • Hi youppl,

After checking in Windows 7 Compatibility Center, I found that your smartphone Blackberry pearl 8120 isn’t compatible with Windows 7 64 bit currently. But it is compatible with Windows 7 32 bit. Thus I would like to suggest you contacting BlackBerry for support. Or you may need to install Windows 7 32bit.

    Best Regards

  • hey, i have tried that way to add the driver which you referred me to the third party website but it does not seems to work. It connect my bluetooth for few seconds but then it disconnects.

although it does let me work with audio like i can play my music from my cell phone but it wont pair for other reasons. Like i cant even connect it to Blackberry Device Manager. You said i need a driver for blackberry? i tried to find it but i couldnt find the exact one, could u please help me locate that one?

    Its Blackberry pearl 8120.

    Thank You!
