Change file association for all users RRS feed

  • I'd like to know how to change what program a file (specifically PDF) opens with for all users on a computer. The ASSOC command only seems to change it for the currently logged on user, and also requires administrative rights to run.

    I have recently deployed an update for Adobe Reader and some of our machines have another PDF editor installed. The result was Adobe took over file association from the other program, and I want to set it back to the other program for all users.
