VBScript Get host window size RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I've scoured the internet searching for this and have found nothing so far so I thought I'd ask here. Please read the requirement carefully, I've seen a lot of side tracks where the original post was simply not answered.

Using VBScript (CScript in particular), I'd like to determine the current size (actual dimensions) of the host window running the cscript command. Not the window's buffer size, the actual visible size of the window. (In a CMD window, properties, layout "Window size") I'm looking for these numbers. Can anyone help me? Is this even possible?

    Please and thank you.

  • This can be done with PowerShell.  VBScript has no facilities to access the host window.
