Exchnage 2007 multi site outlook connectivity issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a SITE A with exchange 2007 sp1 installed with all roles on single box. OWA/autodiscover/webmail all are configured and published to internet too all the users outlook/mobile/owa are functioning properly.

For past Couple of days the server is facing some hardware issue, so I have planned to move the mailboxes to a different server and remove the old server gracefully before it goes dead.

So, I have setup a Exchange 2007 Sp3 on my SITE B configured autodiscover/owa. But when the mailbox is moved from site a to site b the outlook is not getting connected it prompts for password and does not enter in to profile. The moved mailbox user is able to access owa. I have entered the external url in the site B exchange server. And OWA is also redirected between old and new mailboxes.

Can any one help with outlook password promt issue

    Regards, Kiran B.

  • Hi,

    What is the scenario now?

    Both Exchange Server are working?

Please clarify if Exchange 2007 sp3 is internet facing CAS server.

If Exchange 2007 sp3 has not been published, then I recommend you to publish it and it will proxy request to the old one.

Please try to use test e-mail autoconfiguration to see if it will get the correct URL to connect.

Also please check if you have installed the correct certificate.
