SCOM Alert Connector doesn't run RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

I've just created a SCOM Alert Connector which doesn't seem to sync alerts.
The SCSM console doesn't show any timestamps for succesful or failed attempts.
No alerts are coming into SCSM as tickets..

When creating the connector through the wizard, the account I'm using gives a succesfull connection attempt.
The account is in the SCOM admin Role and the SCSM Advanced Operator role as well as in the Local Users Group on my SCSM Servers.

After creating the connector, I saw the following notifcations in the eventviewer:
    Connector Name=SCOM Alert Connector, Id=30b6b223-444f-2a9b-6334-4c0d9fed2698
Creating connector in Operations Manager with name Alert Sync:SCOM Alert Connector. Please initialize its subscription.

    followed by:

    Connector Name=SCOM Alert Connector, Id=30b6b223-444f-2a9b-6334-4c0d9fed2698
    Starting alert synchronization.

    and then finally:

    Connector Name=SCOM Alert Connector, Id=30b6b223-444f-2a9b-6334-4c0d9fed2698
    Ending synchronization.

    The console shows the following:

    http://1drv.ms/1fw3J4q

Does anyone have an idea what is going on here?

    Thanks!

    Filip

  • Hi,

for other people out there to whom it may be helpful.

It seems you also have to create a connector in OM to forward alerts to SM.
This can be done from the Administration Pane and then in the Connectors node.

You'll find an Alert Sync Connector in there.

    Hope it helps!

  • You forwarded an alert from SCOM to the connector or you created a subscription in SCOM to do this automatically?
