Windows 7 Updates crashed Toshiba bulletin board and QuattroPro X3 and 10 RRS feed

    Security updates for Microsoft.NET Framework 4 Client Profile (4) or Windows 7 installed on 8/23/2011 caused programs that previously worked to now give this error message. and immediately close. Security Updates and Updates for Microsoft Office 2010 and programs therein were also installed.
    Both programs worked prior to installation of these updates.
    User Account Control

    Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?

    If you type yes, you get a run time error:
    Abnormal Program Termination.

    Trouble shooting doesn't seem to help except that the first time it did, and it ran - once.

    Hi,

    It seems that both the applications are modified. They should have the publishers. I suggest you to fully uninstall these applications, then try to install again to see whether this makes any difference.

    Hi,

     

    A few questions that you might want to ask yourself:

    When did this start to happen? What changes did you do that might have cause this issue?

    If you know when it started, a simple way is to do a system restore, and install one update at a time and test out which update is causing the issue; and if you know what changes caused this problem, please uninstall the update and wait for the next revised update (or, install ALL avail updates from Windows Update).
