  • To add - Excel is a binary file.  It cannot be managed via external methods easily.  You can write a macro that can do this.  Post in the Excel forum and explain what you are seeing and get the MVPs there to show you how to use the macro facility to edit cells.  Outside of cell text "unprintable" characters are a normal part of Excel.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • What is the definition of "non printable characters"?

What is the definition of "remove from an excel file"?

What have you tried so far, and with what results?
