  • DiskPart has encountered an error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
    See the System Event Log for more information.

  • Hi,

    Could you give more information about this issue?

    Please check if there is any event created in Event Viewer.

    Please try to insert the drive into another computer to see if it can work.

    Please also try to take following steps to check USB drive.

    1. Open Start.

    2. Type Command Prompt (Run as Administrator).

    3.  Type the following command, and then press Enter.

        Chkdsk drive:  /f

        Note: drive is the USB drive letter.
