moving emails to public folder is too slow - any alternate solutions RRS feed

    we are on office365 with all users on Outlook Desktop App on their windows 10 machines.

    general practice is users move their "project specific" emails to public folders with the respective project numbers. As normal, users don't comply and one fine day decide to move over 100 emails be it 100 emails or 5 emails. moving from outlook to public folders is way too slow and tedious.

    Please advise if someone has any alternate solutions or better ways to do this.

    One suggestion was to save the emails onto project specific folders on the local storage drive? not sure what to make of it.

    Are these emails have anything which can be easily identified?

    If yes, we can create rules to automatically move specific emails to specific folder.

    you may not be aware, but you can cache public folders in your OST file.

    This can only be done for public folder "favorites", but such would allow the drag-drop to the PF occur locally, and then the OST sync threads in outlook would handle the push up to the PF.

    I'm not aware of an easy way to automate this change for outlook however, so you'd still have to train users on this option.  but such could likely be done with a few screen shots:

    public Folder favorites are done by dragging folders to the "favorites" area above top of the folder tree in outlook.
