Problems with Word 2010 converting 2007 docs incorrectly RRS feed

  • Question

  • Firm that has multiple machines, varying ages and using either Word 2007 or 2010.  I have a shared server drive.  My problem is that my word processor (Word 2010) opens a doc created by another assistant in Word 2007, sometimes the quotation marks turn in to A or @.  Will occasionally occur for other punctuation marks.  I have all the computers set to save in 2003-2007 format, but it still happens.  Any advice?

  • Hi,

Is this only happen on your machines? And only with the doc created by the another assistant?

Is there any other person use Word 2010? Will him get the problem?

Have you opened these doc created by the other people using Word 2007?

Check the AutoCorrect Options to see if there is something related. (File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options)

If it is not sensitive, you can send the file to me to have a check:

    (replace "a" with @)
