mail merge printing RRS feed

  • I have 53 names on a database in Excel and when I merge this into word to print out envelopes it gets into a loop and keeps printing over and over again and if I don't turn the printer off then I would have thousands of envelopes printed.  Is there a way to only print 1 set of addresses?

    I am only new to setting up databases and really need some help.

  • What steps are you using?

    Assuming that you are merging directly to the printer, an alternative that might help you save some envelopes would be to merge to a new document first, then print that, defining the range of sections/pages to print, e.g. as p1s1-p1s53
