32Bit Office Pro on 64 OS, Power Query Com add in error - not loaded - runtime error syswow64\mscoree.dlll RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have recently loaded Microsoft Office Professional 2013 (32 bit) on my 64 OS, Windows 10.

I have downloaded the power query for 32 bit.  I cannot get the add in to load.  The power query add in  references syswow64/mscoree.dlll

I have uninstalled office and reinstalled.

I have removed the power query, repaired office, rebooted, reinstalled the power query

I have attempted to repairy the power query

It seems like I need to uninstall the 32 bit and load 64 bit office, but when I attempted that "fix" I received another type of error referencing office 15 component in my registry.  My IT dept stated I should stick with the 32bit office.

    Any suggestions for correction?

  • Hello,

Can you share the following information:

    • What versions (build number) of Office and Power Query are you using?
    • What error message are you seeing?
    • Do you have the "Require Application Add-ins to be signed by Trusted Publisher" setting turned on in Excel? (Look in File, Options, Trust Center, Trust Center Settings, Add-ins)

    Thanks,

    David
