How to configure an alternative service account to run RServer service RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear all,

The RServer cannot be started with the default account due to company policies.

Where can I configure a technical AD-account as executer of the Service?

    Best regards

    Olaf

P.S. Adding NT SERVICE\RServe9.0.0.0 to the "Log on as a Service" Local Security Policy makes things worse than before - you cannot even reconfigure the compute node: Exception calling "AddAccessRule"

The RServe9.0.0.0 service was unable to log on as NT SERVICE\RServe9.0.0.0 with the currently configured password due to the following error:

Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.

    Domain and account: NT SERVICE\RServe9.0.0.0

This service account does not have the required user right "Log on as a service."
