Change database name Application_Registry_Service_DB_6e62772eedd14d91bf482b4a2e2d6a3a RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'd like to rename the database which was created for the Application Registry Service. At the moment the Database looks like this:   Application_Registry_Service_DB_6e62772eedd14d91bf482b4a2e2d6a3a

I'd like to rename to:    Application Registry_Service-Db Is this possible? in sharepoint 2010

  • Is it possible to manually configure the Application Registry so it has a name that follows someone's convention?

  • Unlike other databases that SharePoint 2010 creates, the Application Registry Service Database is actually included in the mix for backward compatibility of SharePoint Server 2007 Business Data Catalog connection information and other information pertinent to the BDC API.

By default, the database name is “Application_Registry_Service_DB_<GUID>”.

follow the below given link to Rename or move service application databases (SharePoint Server 2010)

    Thanks!!
