  • Hi ,

    Can anyone tell me the basics of setting an interim plan for a project . i am using MSP2010?

  • Hello Dharmesh,

    I think this is the easiest thing you can find out. just to follow below steps.

    To set an interim plan for a project:
    1. Open the project plan for which baseline data is set.
    2. Display the Set Baseline dialog box.
    3. Select Set interim plan.
    4. If necessary, from the Set interim plan drop-down list, select the appropriate pair of columns corresponding to the interim plan to be set.
    5. In the For section, if necessary, select Selected tasks.
    6. If necessary, check the To all summary tasks check box so that changes to selected tasks are updated on all summary tasks that the selected tasks fall under.
    7. If necessary, check the From subtasks into selected summary task(s) check box so that only the selected summary tasks are updated.
    8. Click OK.
    9. Add Start1 and Finish1 columns to the plan to view it.

  • Its really simple again,

    To clear an interim plan:
    1. Display the Clear Baseline dialog box.
    2. Select Clear interim plan.
    3. If necessary, from the Clear interim plan drop-down list, select the appropriate
    pair of Start and Finish columns corresponding to the interim plan to be deleted.
    4. Click OK.
