    I've been searching for a way to do this for days now and haven't found anything.

    I'm trying to allow users to create their own lists (surveys to be specific.) I've created a specific sub site for this purpose where the users have the 'Manage Lists' permission level so they can create lists.

    The problem is, the users can go and change settings of each others lists or even delete them.

    My goal is to have only the creator of the list be able to administer the list but it doesn't seem like this is possible?

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

    The only way is, once user created the list then you need to break the permission and remove other user contribute permission from that list and provide only read only permission at list level.

    To re-assign permission at list level, you need to create a event receiver for ListAdded event so it can modify the permission once you created the list in site:
