Intermittent and multple BSOD in windows 7 Pro 64bit RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We are facing BSOD in multiple machines, these are Acer Desktops and I am from Acer Technical support.

I have done Hardware analysis and found no issues,we have resinstalled the operating system also, error may occur once in 10 days.As per BSOD analysis is caused by CRSS.exe but we are not able to know the root cause.

Dump files and system information(H/W and S/W)are uploaded to one drive for your reference.

  • It has to do with the graphic card or its driver

  • This is related to your display driver. It seems that you have the April version of this driver that is known to be buggy.

I would suggest that you uninstall it and install the version directly from ACER.

  • I'd first update the video drivers as suggested.

You wouldn't demand your Doctor a therapy just because you told him "I don't feel very well"
You wouldn't expect your accountant to know how much your taxes are just because you told him "I have earned some money"
Do not expect any IT Pro to suggest you a solution just because you said "It doesn't work"

  • hi.

Any updates on other dump files?

    Tuesday, April 7, 2015 1:07 PM
  • No, not really. System related files/services rarely cause any issues because they are protected, so when you see something like CRSS.exe, it is usually something else like a third party driver/virus that is driving it to do that.
