Exchange database back up error 'Replica is Inconsistent' RRS feed

  • I am running exchange 2013 with DPM protection. The exchange database is mounted and running fine, it is however generating a rapidly growing list of E02**.log files. on the exchange server. I am running a full backup through DPM on the volume disk and also the database itself. The database is returning a 'Replica is inconsistent' error.

    I have transferred eseutil.exe and ese.dll files from exchange server to Dpm server location.

    I have ran a consistency check on the database within DPM. I have tried re-creating the protection group but to no avail.

    Any ideas on how to resolve the 'replica is inconsistent' error?

  • Hi,

    Please check:

    1. If any event error logged which related to this issue.

    2. Run Diskpart, list volume to see if any volume is corrupted (displayed as RAW instead of NTFS).

    Please noticed that if it cannot be fixed, we may need to recreate protection groups as a workaround.
