  • Question

  • Hi ,

The image attached is a pwa site. To get the home page where a new project can be created, tasks, approvals can be viewed, is there further configurations?

    Thanks.

You are missing some of the default links in the Quick Launch menu (on the left side of the page).  You need to display the Projects link to give access to the Project Center page, as this is one location where new projects can be created.  You also need to display the Approvals link to give access to the Approval Center page, as this is where task updates are approved by the PM.  You also need to display the Tasks link to give access to the Tasks page, as this is one location where team members can enter task progress.  If you intend to use the Timesheet page, you need to add that link to the Quick Launch menu as well.  Hope this helps.

  • Installation and configuration of Project server in SharePoint Central wasn't done properly.   Contact the people who installed project server.  When it is done correctly, the home page will have Project centers, Resource, task, etcs.  and if you click on the gear in browser, you should see Project Server settings.

It should look like something below.

  • The site which you created SharePoint Team Site, not a PWA site. Please make sure that you create PWA site & turn on the links from Server Settings --> Quick Launch Bar.
