Unable to group chat - An error occurred message when sending a message to more than one recipient RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have implemented Skype4B in our company, I currently running 3 FE servers, 1 backend database, 1 file share

It all appears to be working fine but when a 3rd person (or more) is invited into a conversation we get an error "an error occurred during skype meeting, the action couldn't be completed. Please try again later."

    Has anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

  • Hi Kitch,

Looks like you are converting peer to peer to conference and getting error.

    Please check your conference policies.

Instead of escalating 'peer to peer' conversation to conference, can you create a conference and check its working fine?

  • thank you for responding, I only see "enable peer-to-peer file transfer" and "enable peer-to-peer recording" under Participant policy. I have unticked these both, is that all I need to do?

    Thanks

  • Are you looking from the server end?

  • I am using the SKYPE4B admin control panel, all my users have the global conferencing policy applied, within the policy I have now unticked "enable peer-to-peer file transfer" and "enable peer-to-peer recording" as per above but rest of the settings are default from installation.

Hope this helps, I can send screenshots if needed

    Thanks

  • then the conference policy looks to be normal.

Could you tell me, what will happen while the user trying to join the skype meetings?

Or if a user click the meet now options from the top of the skype client?
