How do I include the version comments to an Alert email? RRS feed

  • My customer would like to receive an alert each time somebody edits any document in a document library. The document library has versioning enabled and requires check in and check out. I added an alert to a document library I have in my test environment. I then checked out a document in the library, edited the document, and then checked it back in. I got an email saying the document had changed. However, the body of the email only contained the Document Owner and Checked Out To fields. Is there someway we can add the Version Comments to the body of the alert email?
