Limiting emails going to Journal based upon source domain or IP address RRS feed

  • Question

  • Trialling Cisco Cloud Mailbox Defense, which is pretty much a blanket anti-malware/anti-spam solution with no policy based capabilities.  CMD works via Journaling so is post receipt checking in Exchange Online.

We have policies that allow certain IP's or Domain's through Office 365 security and to be sent to the end user.

When emails get sent to CMD via Journaling, if they are classed as spam by CMD, then they are stopped at CMD - regardless of Office365 rules.

I think a way around is to limit what gets journaled, eg via a mail flow/transport rule... but I can't find a way to do this.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.
