If you are using the Standard version of Microsoft Project 2010, you will not see the Sync with SharePoint Tasks List feature in the software.  Hope this helps.

  • You also won't see it if you have MS Project Professional and are currently
    connected to Project Server.

You have to have Project Professional, not connected to Project Server.

  • I have Project Professional 2010 and chose to "Work Offline" (i.e. not connected to the Project Server") but that did not work either.  Can you provide any other guidance?

    Thank you.

I do not believe you can use the Sync with SharePoint Tasks List feature if you are working with Project Server 2010 in any way in Microsoft Project 2010.  The feature is not even displayed at all if you connect to Project Server in the Login dialog, or if you connect and then you select the Work Offline functionality.  If you really need to use this feature for some reason, you have to select the Computer option in the Login dialog after you launch Microsoft Project 2010.  Selecting the Computer option allows you to work totally in desktop-only mode, with no connection at all to Project Server 2010.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi Dale,

Which version of Project Professional 2010 would allow me to sync with Sharepoint?

  • Kopal --

You must have the Professional version of Microsoft Project 2010.  As you can see from the previous posts in this thread, you cannot use the Sync with SharePoint Tasks List feature if you are using the Standard version of the software.  Hope this helps.
