Enabling remote desktop access on a 2008 domain controller RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have been unsuccsessful in allowing non-administrator access for a thin-client network. This is a single server setup for 10 clients which is also running as a domain controller. Please help, I am considering trashing this concept and going to another solution.

  •  Hello,

You should add thin-client users to the "Allow logon through terminal services" policy. In server

*In left pane, expand Computer Configuration>Windows settings>Security Settings>Local policies>User Rights Assignment
*Now in right-pane, double-click "Allow log on through terminal services" then click add and add non-administrative users.
                    *Start>run>gpupdate /force
