Icon Problem with FileTypesMan RRS feed

  • Question

  • I tried to change the look of one icon using FileTypesMan. It instead changed the look of all files of the same extension as the one I was trying to change. I cannot find a way to reverse this.

    Side Notes:

I cannot uninstall FilesTypesMan, I can only delete it. That does not reverse the affects.

I tried using the program to put everything back to the default icon, but it made it them all default application icon that is used, when there is no thumbnail linked with the icon.

It has changed all icons of ".exe" files.

  • Dont worry you ned the imageres.dll file which has all the default windows icons into it. C:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll

this hould restore the icons back.
