Can't use Windows Transfer to go from Windows 7 to Vista (all 64-bit) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a new HP notebook running Vista Home Premium.  I want to transfer my settings from a Windows 7 (release) computer.  After running Windows Transfer on Windows 7, I try to get Windows Transfer on Vista to use the file.  It seems to see the file, but keeps on giving me the message "Please select a valid file where your data can be restored from. To select a file, click Browse." , which is exactly what I am doing.  Both computers are 64-bit.
