Tool to isolate log login time during Welcome screen RRS feed

  • Is there a tool that can help me identify exactly what programs, commands, hardware initialization is causing the intermittent hand during Welcome Screen after good credentials have been entered.

  • You can either turn on verbose startup and logon status messages, or use windows performance toolkit, or use sysinternals process monitor.

  • I agree with JS2010: Load up Process Monitor & enable boot time logging & see what the results are.

    I take it this is a machine that's not on a domain and thus has no group policies setup right?
