WSE 2016 Wizards and GoDaddy

Question
-
Currently, the wizards for setting up a domain and maintaining an ip address (if dynamic) with GoDaddy are broken. I understand not fixing the wizards with a new version on the horizon, but would it be possible to know if they will be fixed in WSE 2016 - for example the Import a SSL is broken in 2012 r2 (rejects login even when the credentials are right)?Monday, September 14, 2015 3:44 AM

I have spoken with GoDaddy, they changed their APIs a while back and that is why I am using their IP address updater.
As for a DC with a public IP, WSE requires that all port 80 and 443 traffic be forwarded to the WSE server, which also hosts the Remote Web Workplace, Remote Web Access, and VPN connections - This is standard per Microsoft for WSE.
Hope this helps,

Hello,
which wizard are you talking about?
Using a public ip address on internal DCs is not the recommended option.

Hi Bob,
Agree with Meinolf, it is not recommended to configure public IP address for internal DC.
>>Currently, the wizards for setting up a domain and maintaining an ip address (if dynamic) with GoDaddy are broken.
If you are talking about the wizard related to GoDaddy, we could ask their technical support for help.
>>I understand not fixing the wizards with a new version on the horizon, but would it be possible to know if they will be fixed in WSE 2016.
I suppose we could wait for the later official document.
Best Regards,
Leo
