Rundll32.exe van.dll,RunVAN command in Windows 10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have an application that runs Rundll32.exe van.dll,RunVAN from a batch file to open the network flyout window. Is the Rundll32.exe van.dll,RunVAN  command no longer supported in windows 10? I ran it from PS and cmd  and neither return anything. I verified to make sure ReplaceVan DWORD is set at 0. It opens when click on it from the system tray as well.

  • Hi natma,

I ran the command on Windows 10 and the result is the same as yours, no responses from Windows 10 system.

For Windows 8.1, it will bring up the Network flyout.

Some folks shared that it would work, See here:http://superuser.com/questions/1001786/van-dll-runvan-windows-10

I will take a compare of this running process monitor, you may also take a check yourself.

There might be some time delay before I share out any results.

    Regards
