Error pulling data from Sage 50 through Power Query RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have found many other forums with a similar issue to this, I just can't resolve it.

I am currently using Microsoft Excel 2010 Version 14.0.7224.5000 (32-bit), Office Professional Plus 2010.

I am going to Power Query, Get External Data from Other Sources, and selecting from ODBC. I select the database, in this case SageLine50V25. Once into the Navigator pain, when I try to select a table the Preview errors out with "Unexpected error: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt".

It seems to work fine when I just use Microsoft Query under the Data tab. But I want to use the power query functionality.

I have also managed to successfully import the tables into Access database.

I have seen a couple of forums mention it is a 32-bit/64-bit issue. I tried following the instructions here https://support.na.sage.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=12693&sliceId=1, but I was still getting the same error in power query.

I really hope someone can help me.

    Thanks

    Steve
