Battery not charging RRS feed

  • Question

  • The method described by Linda does not specify WHERE to locate "Under the Batteries category". It's not in control Panel or in Library under "Software"; neither is "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery". From what location in Windows 7 Pro can I find these selections. Thanks.

  • Hi Vesely 1a,

If you mean the battery configuration in BIOS, we could try the following steps to check.

Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
Turn on the computer and immediately press the F10 key repeatedly until a BIOS Setup screen opens.
If nothing happens, press the F1 key repeatedly.
Then we are in the BIOS Setup utility.

    Bests,

  • Battery condition can be had in the BIOS..Any laptop can run with both internal batteries being no good/no charge/but the charger must be plugged in 100% of the time. And if its the case, the charger must be plugged in about 20 minutes before pc start..
