OS size best practice RRS feed

  • Question

  • dear friends..

i am still not cleared how you people give virtual servers to your clients if a client comes and ask for a virtual server and asks for around 20 Gb space apart from OS.

how you make sure that client only gets 20Gb not more then that keeping in mind that OS grows with time (WINSXS folder).

what is the best practice for giving virtual machines...

    1. Dedicated / Single OS per server

    2. Shared OS files from a Common server and differential files stored on individual server - i seee this as a good option but dont have any experience on this that how this works, i know this can solve the space issue which i mentioned above.

Please share you views on above

    Thanks
