  • Hello Yasmeen,

You need to deploy the solution on SP server

    Download solution starter from here

    http://archive.msdn.microsoft.com/P2010SolutionStarter

Extract the file in a folder

    1.      First navigate to the directory holding the solution starter package, This file:

    DMDynamicWorkflow.wsp

    Such as:

    C:\PS 2010 Solution Starters\Deployment\DynamicWorkflow\Deployment

    2.      Edit the file DeployPowerShell.cmd using notepad

Change the line with this value:

    Set SiteUrl=http://localhost/pwa

    To your PWA URL

    3.      Save the file as a new file: myDeployPowerShell.cmd

    4.      run the file.

    5.      Use the PowerShell command get-spsolution to check what’s installed.

    You want to see this:

    Name                           SolutionId                           Deployed

    ----                           ----------                           --------

    dmdynamicworkflow.wsp          4d007db6-37cd-4335-95fe-efcdfa0fdd83 True

  • Thanks Hrishid for the answer.

When i tried to deploy the soltuion using the server side it gave the following error.

It says that DMDynamicWorkflow.wsp does not exist in the solution store. I have downloaded the solution starter package from the site you mentioned but i guess it does not contain the desired file. Will you please help me out with the problem.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Yasmeen,

Execute the solution using Run as administrator or launch command prompt using Run as administrator

Then navigate to the folder where solution is saved. Type "yoursolutionname".cmd and hit enter.

    Thanks,

    Hrishi

  • Thanks Hrishid.

The workflow has been successfully deployed on the server side. But the problem is that still i am not getting the 'DM Dynamic Workflow' option in the Select a workflow to add to this site section when i try to configure it.

Can you please help me with this problem.

    Thanks in advance.

  • I found the solution to the above problem.

After the successful deployment of DM Dynamic Workflow Solution Starter on server, the feature has to be activated on the required site. All i did was to go to Site Collection Administration section in Site Settings sections and activated the feature. It is working fine now!
