Hi,
you can find help for google chrome at support.google.com. If you are using it on a company network you may be using the Enterprise versions of their browsers which allows you to centrally manage their web browser.
Chrome does not use Security zones, so there should be a security warning in the f12 dev tool on chrome, that will give you a hint as to which chrome setting you need to tweak. From you description it sounds like you are trying to redirect to a domain that
does not enforce https. IE uses security zones. Intranet sites in IE are commonly enforced to use https regardless of the typed url (see Internet Options>Security tab, Intranet zone). Chrome does not use 'zones', each security setting is applied by
site.... an intranet website defaults with the same security settings profile as any other internet website.
... the f12 dev tool in CHROME should have the security error details, you should include that information with your question on the chrome support forums.
