Copying multiple members or sets to the analytics server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Please help,

I am working on a client engagement where one of the client has created a lot of sets and members to create their own hierarchy and wishes to share these on the analytics server for the rest of the company. We are not allowed to copy these directly to the pas database and so require another way to do this. Is it possible to copy multiple members and sets directly in proclarity?

    Thanks for any assistance.

  • Yep, no way through the built-in UI.  Only option would be to write an add-in to do it, but that could be a little involved for what it sounds like you're trying to accomplish.

  • Are you asking if there is another way to copy sets and members to the PAS DB without using the Copy To... option in the Professional right click menu?  If so, I don't believe there is.  What is the client's end goal with this security arrangement?  Maybe there is something we can help them accomplish.

  • Joey, thanks for the quick response. The problem with the copy to option in the right click menu is that it can only do one at a time. We need to copy a lot of members and sets and do not wish to do this one by one. Is there a way we can do this in a batch load?
