Trying to help my boss: she loves to pin 2 folders to Windows Explorer but it doesn't work anymore RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have read about 8 solutions for the problem I reference in my Subject.

One of the predominant answers for this problem that I have seen says to delete all the files in C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestina‌tions which would be all well and good, but the only File Folder I CAN SEE (even with Hidden Files showing and "Show Protected System Files" checked) is one that says RecentFiles with an Icon instead of a regular File Folder icon.

    Am I crazy?

If I even figure out how to show this purported folder, and delete the files, will it allow my boss to start pinning things to Windows Explorer on her taskbar??  She really misses it.

Answers

  • Click Start, input C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\  in the search box, press ENTER to open that folder.
