OOF Not working, but the MS Remote Connectivity Analyzer says it is! RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • When I run the Analyzer, it tells me that web services are working correctly, but when I launch Outlook I am not able to set Out of Office, it tells me the service is not available.

I am in the process of migrating from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013.  Everything else seems to be working fine, except for OOF.

**Edit:  OWA allows me to use OOF fine, so its just when using Outlook.  It happens both internally and externally.

Exchange Web Services synchronization, notification, availability, and Automatic Replies.
Tests of all Exchange Web Services tasks completed successfully.

Setting and retrieving user OOF settings.
The user's Automatic Replies (OOF) settings were set and retrieved successfully.

  • I guess I had to restart IIS or something. I had noticed an error in the virtual directory, changed it and then it tested successfully, but Outlook didn't work. I then posted her and then 15 min later it was working..

  • Hi,

Do not use the RCA to test the OOF function. The most direct way is:

    1. Find the OOF url by using Test Email AutoConfiguration

    2. Input the url in IE and see if there are any error code.

    3. You can also refer to the IIS log on the CAS server and find the OOF session for the specific user.

    Thanks,
