Windows 7 Error Code 0xC004E003 when trying to activate RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have this problem for a few months now. I didn't install pirated Windows 7 (this was pre-installed) and I didn't also mess with the hardware.

    P.S. Typing slui4 won't work for me.

This is what WGADT gave me:

  • What a mess..........Youre data list multiple OS/product key(s)Multi web browsers/etc..1st,never display youre product key(s) on the internet, even this secure web site...Best bet,R.click on cmd,run as Administrator,in cmd type: Sfc /Scannow   once its thru, type: CHKDSK C: /F  agree to restart, type: EXIT  restart pc.The chks/repairs are made on restart of pc..Maybe before cmd,go to run, type:  WinVer  write down details, then run after cmd restart, see if its different.Or/and,R.click my computer/properties/look at bottom of window, see what key is listed

And/or clean up youre running OS junk, stick to default simple installation(s),I would start from scratch format and install in DOS

  • Hi,

Based on your situation, I suggest you rearming Windows and then re-activating it referring the following steps:

    1.Click Start and type CMD.

2.Right click CMD in the search results and then click Run as administrator.

3.At the command prompt, type regedit and hit Enter to open the system registry.

    4.Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/setup/OOBE/mediabootinstall.

5.Double click the key and change its value to 0. (if the key doesn’t exist, create it from the Edit menu)

6.Go back to the Command Prompt, type the following: slmgr /rearm.

    7.Restart the PC.

8.Use the Activate Windows link to re-enter the product key. Or Press Windows Key + R to open run, type SLUI 1 and activate your PC.

You can also use SLUI 4 again to re-enter a product key after rearming.

If the issue persists, please perform the following steps to repair licensing components:

Reinstall licensing components and generate a new tokens.dat file using the following commands in an Administrator command prompt:

    net stop slsvc

    Cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing

    Ren tokens.dat tokens.old

    cd %windir%\system32

    net start slsvc

    slmgr.vbs –rilc

When finished with these steps, re-try the activation.

    Hope these could be helpful.
