VBS: reading uInt32 values from wmi RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am having trouble reading uInt32 values from WMI objects

The values always return as a signed integer.

For example the WMI Uint32 value is 2702571241 but I always end getting -1592396055 returned

I have tried converting the value to a Long but that hasn't worked out.

What am I doing wrong here?

  • VBScript doesn't support unsigned 32-bit integers.

One approach is to convert to a string (Hex function) and parse the high word and low word separately.
