Status changes to "Phone Only" status RRS feed

  • For many users, their status changes to "Phone Only" and we cannot IM to them.

    Where to start? What do I have to check?

    In order to better understand your issue, I want confirm:
    1. Can you change presence status to "Phone Only" manually, or it changes automatically?
    2. Which client are you used, Skype for Business, IP phone or Lync Phone Edition client?
    3. Would you please post a screenshot here if possible?

    The status switches automatically, I cannot change it to "Voice Only"

    They use Skype for Business clients with VVX phones.

    I cannot send you snapshot. I will be on client's site next week. I am just looking for ideas what should I check.

  • Okay, I am onsite. The users status is "Available - Voice Only". I found that if user turn off the phone and start it after the Skype for Business client is up, this user status is displayed correctly.

    The problem is that phones are logged in when users are going home after work. The workstations are plugged in to the phones, so the phone will always come back first.

    They use CX600 and VVX phones.

    Any ideas what can I do to fix it?
