  • Hi Rose ,

No,  you do not need to install SCOM 2012 MPs for SharePoint 2010 on every servers in SharePoint farm, you need to Import the Management Pack to System Center 2012.

For Configuring SCOM 2012 Management Pack for SharePoint Server 2010 Monitoring, you can refer to the blog:

  • Hi Rose,

If we want to montior SharePoint 2010 environment (say Farm)  with SCOM, you have to download /import the SharePoint Management Pack(MP) on the SCOM Server and then need to install the SCOM agent  in to all SharePoint Servers.

If we want to monitor the SQL Server by using SCOM server, then you have to download /Import the SQL Server Management Pack (MP) on the SCOM Server and then you have to install the SCOM Agent in to all the SQL Servers.

    Hope this help .

    Best Regards,

    Senthil
