Restore databases via DPM 2012 R2 RRS feed

    Dear All ,


    i am using DPM 2012R2 to backup all my sql databases. i am trying from time to time to restore some of them for testing purposes just to insure that everything is ok.


    recently i am facing a problem when trying to restore a database. when i open the instance all the database are listed, when i tried to click on a database to recover it some databases take around 40 seconds to show all the recovery points another takes literately around 2.5 to 3 minutes to show all the recovery points.


    may i know what is the problem exactly? i need help.

    It could be related to low disk read performance of your DPM storage pool. What kind of disks and RAID configuration are you using for storing backups?

    i am using RAID 5 on synology storage device.
