edge won't open or close RRS feed

  •  My edge wouldn't open I had to rebbot it then it wouldn't close without doing it in task manager. Before it shuts down there are 5 copies of edge running for a second.

  • Well could be the active sessions it is remembering, so clear those.

    %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\Recovery\Active

    Copy that in the address bar of File Explorer and delete contents of that folder and try again see if that helps.

    Please run Powershell command as admin to check if it can help to fix this issue:

    Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Since this issue can also be caused by corrupted system files, please try following commands to repair Windows:

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    SFC /scannow

    Post back the detailed event logs by saving it out and upload on network shared folder.
