I am installing 2 Server 2012 servers. 1 will be the DC, running File Share, DHCP, DNS, RDS Licensing. The 2nd server will be the RDS server running SQL Server 2012 Standard, RDS Session Host, RD Gateway, and RD Connection Broker. There will
be 15 local users and 15 remote users. All users will be accessing the SQL. The remote users will have access to the shared folders on the DC as well. My question is: Is this the ideal configuration for what I described?
Do you forsee any issues?
From the proposed Design, I would say that the only thing to be aware of is performance as you will be running SQL and RDS on the same server. If possible you would be better off having a separate SQL server and RDS server, but if have limitations , you
may get away with this but monitor the performance.
