ADFS Server 2016 Configuration with SQL Server not able to access or connect to the SQL Server. RRS feed

    While trying to configure the ADFS Role on a 2016 Server it fails showing the error below;

    I'mm able to ping and even telnet my SQL Server on the 1433 port. Also, I'm a sysadmin on the SQL side. 

    Any help will be really appreciated :):)

    Hiya,

    a good way to test connection to the SQL server is using the ODBC tool on the server.

    Search -> Type "ODBC" and open the tool. System DSN -> Add -> SQL Server.

    Enter the connection information and see if you can connect.
