BI Center - Errors when editing Data Connections RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

This is a freshly upgraded system from Project Server  2010.

I want to edit the links to the ODC files for some of the Sample Reports in the BI Center.

    1. Go to Sample Reports in the BI Center
    2.  Edit the file (Project Overview)
    3. click Connections,  and Properties on a connection
    4. Click the Definition tab
    5. Click Export Connection File, and browse to the Data Connections folder

The problem then is that the display is not properly displayed - see attached

If I go ahead and click save, I get a lot of script errors:

this is only happening in the Data Connections library - other libraries seem fine.

    Any ideas?

the environment is on SP1 + September 2014 CU.

    Thanks,

  • I haven't had this particular problem but I have had weird issues after migrations.  here is what I would do.

    1) Download and copy all your reports to a folder or folders

    2) Deprovision PWA - do not delete database, you need to use them again

    3) Delete the BI Center site from collection.  This gets recreated later

    4) Provision PWA back using the same databases.  If the BI Center is not found it will create a new BI Center site.

    5) Restore custom reports back into BI.

    Cheers!

  • Hi Nico,

Did you try adding the site to a Trusted Site in Inter Explorer and  then check the behavior.
