App-v and remote desktop services

Question

Hi
I am in the process of building a Win 2008 R2 RDS Farm. I already have a SCCM 2012 SP1 environment built.
We are building the RDS Farm to provide remote applications for users. I have been debating whether or not I should perform a local install of these applications on the Remote Desktop Session Hosts or whether I should stream these applications from the SCCM 2012 servers using App-V. Is this possible and can this be achieved with App-V 5.0. I only see reference guides that mention App-v 4.6.
Any help would be great
Thanks

Hello,
Yes it is.
See this guide (page 17 and onwards will start with your specific scenario);
See this regarding SCCM 2012 SP1 / App-v 5

This may not be an either/or answer to this question. RDS and App-V can be used together.
Remote delivery of your applications might typically be used to get the application closer to a back-end database, for example. In that case, delivering the application to the desktop via App-V might not be suitable.

Thanks for your replies - I am going to go through the documentation listed now.
What I would like to do is the following:
SCCM (application delivered via App-V) -----------> RDS Session Host ------------> Workstation (published app)
I just need to know if this is possible and how to achieve this if so. I will check the documentation
Thanks!

Hello,
Yes - SCCM can deliver App-V packages to RDS Session Hosts without issues.
