  • Question

  • Dears,

Can someone show me how to configure e-mail for service manager, I tried to configure it in Administration - Notifications - Channels. I have also add notification template for certain incident templates. But no e-mail is being sent.

Please I need the exact way to enable service manager to send e-mails.

  • Perhaps it is a "Relay" issue.

Have you tried to create a telnet sessions from the Service Manager to the Exchange Server.

Open telnet and make a connection on port 25.

this will let you know if Service Manager is allowed to relay e-mail. it might be that.

  • Hi,

I agree with Fletcher. This seems like "Allow Relay" is not enabled on your Exchange server for the Service Manager server.

Have you had a chance to look at this yet?

  • Check the workflow status for the subscriptions you are sending and paste any error messages there and in the event log
