DPM 2010 - STOP ALL SYNC JOBS RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've asked this question before, but need to find a way now. I need to perform a HDD firmware update on the hard drives in my iSCSI attached storage array used by my DPM 2010 console for storing all data. Mfg says all disk I/O must be halted. How do I stop all jobs from running during this time ? There must be a process or script or something that will do this, right ? I thought about disconnecting it, but then realized the DPM console is where the array manager software is installed so that won't do. Somebody must have run into this issue before, right ?

  • Hi,

Stop and disable the SQL Server and DPM service(s) prior to the array update, and then re-enable and start those services after the updates are complete.
