Task Bar/Start Menu Icon is not showing on My Monitor! RRS feed

  • Question

  • I must have accidently hit a key, now my task bar and Windows Start Menu icon in the lower left hand corner of my work laptop is not appearing on my monitor screen. UGH!!!! What must I do to restore it? This is very annoying because I can't get to my files on C: drive or get to the internet. The IT department at work is no help. An IT tech remoted into the laptop and said "he's seeing the task bar running" but I'm not seeing it on my monitor....I know this is a simple fix because it's happened before but I can't remember how to fix it.

  • Hello Brenda.

Try pressing the Windows key or Ctrl + Esc on you keyboard and check if the Windows Start menu is displayed.
Maybe you've changed your screen resolution and the desktop area has become wider than the one that can be displayed on your display.

    Bye.
